Push NHS Oldham enables NHS patients in Oldham to consult with a clinician, like their local GP, from the comfort of their own home, or conveniently in and around their working day using their iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
If you are a patient in Oldham, you can download this FREE app to find out whether your Oldham NHS GP surgery is participating at this time. Or read on to find out more about this app and video consulting.

To experience remote consulting and see your local GP over video on your iPhone or iPad then all you need to do is download this app, find out if your surgery in Oldham is available and if it is, just contact your surgery and ask them for a ‘video-consultation’ on Push. It’s simple and quick to get set up, and once you are you can continue using the service as and when you need it.
If your Oldham GP practice is on Push then you can enjoy the following benefits:
1. Make quick and easy appointments, via your surgery, and see a clinician remotely using this free app, so you don’t need to leave the house to be seen by your GP.
2. Consult with your clinician over secure, encrypted video using your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch
3. Chat and exchange images with your clinician in real-time and demonstrate your ailments or issues in pictures and words using the content from your device.
4. Provide your ratings and feedbacks on the service you receive, ensuring that your experience contributes to the future shape of your local practice.
And many more... including a unique Virtual Walk-In Centre.

The clinicians on Push have access to your medical records as normal, so just as they would do if you saw them face-to-face they will have your information in front of them as they consider the issues you are presenting you.
Plus, if you need a prescription, a referral or a test and you are seeing your GP on Push they can organise this for you whilst you are in consultation in the app.

What can you see a clinician via video about?
The list of conditions that you can explore over video is extensive and includes (but is not limited to) infections, viruses, respiratory infections, sinus infections, skin inflammation, sore throats, rashes, urinary tract infections, nausea, headaches and migraines, diarrhea, vomiting, mental health issues, allergies, asthma, bronchitis, cellulitis, cold & flu, constipation, ear infections, fever, gout, joint aches, insect bites and sports injuries.
When you contact your local Oldham practice to make an appointment they will be able to advise you if you are concerned that you have a condition that might be suitable for exploration remotely i.e. if you need a physical examination.

This is the next generation of NHS services, commissioned by NHS Oldham Clinical Commissioning Group to increase patient choice and deliver even more access to the highest quality healthcare available.
Please download the app to find out more, or contact your local Oldham GP practice and ask them if they are on Push, and if they are ask them to book you a ‘video-consultation’ the next time you would like to see your doctor.
